Pursuing Pixels

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!'

Kevin gets the ball rolling this week (quite literally) with a few of the games that he's been firing up on Xbox Game Pass lately — including Go Mecha Ball, Rollerdrome, and Sea of Stars — and how he desperately needs to upgrade to a Series X console!

Join and Randall jump into the conversation after that, as we discuss cloud gaming (and saving), M. Night Shyamalan films, free furniture in the alley, and a bunch of the video games we've been playing lately...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels.  We've got the full trio back in the house once again, and a whole bunch of video game goodies to dive into, so let's get right into it...

Kevin gets the ball rolling (quite literally) this week, as he gives a quick shoutout to a couple of wizard-themed indie arcade gems, The Pinball Wizard & Wizorb.

After that, John digs into a few of the games that he's been firing up on his new Steam Deck lately — including Hades, Lonely Mountains: Downhill & Monster Hunter World.

Finally, Randall closes things out with some first (and seemingly final) impressions of the new Super Mario RPG remake on Nintendo Switch.

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!'

Kevin's getting settled into his new apartment over the past few weeks, and gets things started off with a quick shoutout for a couple of awesome puzzle games that he recently snagged for cheap on Nintendo Switch — Aloof & Toodee and Topdee.

John and Randall join in on the fun after that, as we pluck another chunk of chit chat from our recent holiday episode recording session.  We dig into all sorts of video game (and basketball) goodies this week — including upcoming Sega games, the Yakuza series, adding even more games to our wishlists, and much more...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels.  This week, it's Kevin & John in the house once again, as we burn through the last of our stockpiled episodes from the end of last year.

We kick things off with a little online multiplayer chit chat, after playing some Fall Guys with our bandmates recently.

John picks up the reigns from there, and digs into some thoughts on Earthbound, which he's been playing via the Nintendo Switch Online service.

Kevin finally cracks and picks up a physical copy of Ninja JaJaMaru: The Great Yokai Battle, and couldn't be happier about adding this neo retro arcade gem to his collection.

Finally, John closes us out with a quick gush session, after scooping up the newly released Risk of Rain Returns, and falling in love with the series all over again.

Kevin gets the ball rolling this week with a handful of indie gaming goodies that he's been diving into as of late, after dusting off the ol' Xbox One to see what's been added to Game Pass recently, and also snagging a few games for super duper cheap on Nintendo Switch.

John joins in on the conversation after that, as we split our time between video games and music — getting into some various thoughts on Risk of Rain: Returns, the new Open Mike Eagle album, reminiscing about our old Boss Fight days, and much, much more...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels, and welcome back to another edition of 'Save it for the 'cast!'

This week, Kevin gets things started off with a little love for some of our indie dev pals we've made over the years — and we'll get to even more in the second half of the episode, as well!

He also digs into some quick thoughts on Mario Kart 8, now that all of the DLC tracks have been released — and has also been ripping through Super Mario Bros. 3 via the Nintendo Switch Online service.

Randall joins in on the conversation after that, as we continue to chat all sorts of video game goodies, including more retro 'reimagining' chit chat, praising the platformers from Ohsat Games, and much, much more...

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels.  This week, it's Randall and Kevin holding down the fort, as we dig a little deeper into some of the games we've discussed on recent episodes...

Randall gets things started with some more Resident Evil 4: Remake talk, after getting the chance to spend some quality time with The Mercenaries DLC mode.

After that, we spend a bunch of time chatting some more Super Mario Bros. Wonder, as Kevin has now seen the credits roll, and Randll continues to chip away at his co-op campaign.

Finally, we close things out with a little multiplayer goodie bag chit chat, as Randall has been going back to Mario Strikers: Battle League, and Kevin continues to try to get better at Mario Kart 8, before the final batch of DLC courses drop!
