Taking the leap to start investing out of state is easier said than done. On today’s episode we welcome Zach Hoereth, a broker and investor currently initially from and based out of Indianapolis, IN. In our discussion, Zach outlines how he made the leap to start investing in the Austin, TX market and how he plans to add Florida properties to his out of state investing portfolio. Zach also emphasizes the importance of building a presence with your sphere of influence (SOI) and online on social media in order to find and source deals. As we gear up for the debut of Season 3 next week, in today’s bonus episode we discuss our first property out-of-state that we have lost money on. We take a deep dive into the numbers to see what went wrong, exactly how much we lost, and lessons learned throughout the whole process.
