I sat down with local Kayla Fanning to talk about life in Trinidad, exploring beautiful scenery on two wheels on some of the best gravel roads in the world and more. Kayla is a local inspiration to not only the gravel enthusiasts, but anyone who is lucky enough to cross her path. She showcases her epic views and animal encounters which she is happy to share with the locals and the world of Instagram.

It’s rare for a small town to have a skate shop much less inside a restaurant but that’s the spirit of Trinidad - making cool things happen with limited resources. The locals keep the shop alive and it’s been interesting watching travelers who stop in for a bit, pop in the shop for a lookee. It often sparks “I used to skate” conversations and all are excited to hear about the growth of skateboarding in this Southern Colorado town.

I sat down with some of the local skaters to discuss the Trinidad Skatepark repairs and more! This episode starts out with an intro about the skatepark project and how it forced us to get creative with the challenges we faced and then I have a great conversation with a few of the locals. This morning I sat down with Trinidad local, Annie Stormant, and talked about life in Trinidad, her upcoming show and much more! Link in stories!

Annie’s art show is titled “Dream Streams” and the theme of this experimental solo show is reflecting Annie's new approach. It's the first time she is choosing to express themes that have been uncovered through journaling and interpreting dreams. She is striving to communicate raw human emotion through art to hopefully connect with others.
