Bawdrip in Somerset has the friendliest people. Nigel and Gail from Cobwebs Cottage made us coffee and gave us bananas for the road. When you punch out over 170km (glad that is over) across three counties, you need all the help you can get!

We rode across a ford, saw squirrels (some squashed), horses (posh), ancient buildings and plenty more paddocks with cows as we crossed into Devon for more climbing than we were anticipating today.

It was great to finally get pedalling today as we churned out 46 miles from Land’s End to Truro - with a detour or two along the way. Plenty of wind, rain on and off and lots to look at. Paddocks, wildflowers, beaches, cows and larks ascending.

Well, hopefully that is our most stressful day of the trip. After a very long day getting to Cornwall, we've had a big meal at Kathmandu Nepalese in Truro (6 stars, very clean toilets) and got our Orro Gold bikes setup and ready.  

So it's now up to us, our legs and other contact points on the bike. Bring on tomorrow!

In this episode we meet a couple of brothers who are putting some blood, sweat and tears (ok, just sweat) into a cool start-up making sports recovery cream from Tasmanian oils.

Trail Science is a brand that has an ethos of respecting the environment and celebrating Tasmania in every sense. And they also have a bit of fun with their products and packaging which is super clever and funny – very Tasmanian.

We are going to be guinea pigs for the brothers and be testing their cream on the ride, thus our little partnership. We are really stoked to be helping them.
