Matt Ryan just got a ridiculous new contract and Will Brinson explains why it's a smart deal for the Falcons (also for Matt Ryan). Then Will is joined by Patrik Walker (@VoiceOfTheStar) of 247 Sports to break down what the boys in Big D did during the draft, if the Cowboys have sufficient weapons for Dak Prescott in his third season, if they're better off without Dez Bryant and Jason Witten, whether or not the defense can be a top tier unit, what to expect from Rico Gathers this season and much much more.
Grant Paulsen of 106.7 the Fan in DC joins Will Brinson to talk all things Redskins. The guys dive into the draft decisions by Washington, going with Da'Ron Payne early and then adding Derrius Guice, discuss how the running back depth chart will look, examine whether the offense can be any good and what the fatal flaw will be for that side of the ball, question if there's enough on that team defensively to take a leap, wonder if Alex Smith's 2017 season is real or not and figure out an interesting tendency for Bruce Allen drafting.
Jamey Eisenberg and Dave Richard join Will Brinson to talk about the fantasy football implications of the 2018 NFL Draft, including where they would take Saquon Barkley, who were the winners from the NFL draft, who were losers in the NFL draft, who are some sleeper rookie running backs they're identifying next year, how the rookie wide receiver and tight end class look, who are some of "their guys" heading into the offseason and basic thoughts on early draft strategy. A must-listen for fantasy fans.
Nick Kostos joins Will Brinson to break down the rumors about the Browns being unable to trade down, Jason Witten retiring (?) and what it means for the Cowboys, whether the Eagles were trolling the Cowboys, which team is his lead pipe LOCK for over/unders this coming season, which teams interest the two of them in terms of over/under bets, whether the Giants had a good draft, how he looks at their roster, what he thinks of the Saquon Barkley pick and if the Giants will be any good in 2018.
Chip Patterson joins Will Brinson LIVE! from the CBS Sports Raleigh offices to break down the 2018 NFL Draft from a college football perspective. Chip and Will discuss whether the Arizona Cardinals got enough playmakers to make an impact in 2018, if the Indianapolis Colts got tougher at the line of scrimmage and how the RPO coaching factor might come into play for Andrew Luck and the guys they drafted on the offensive line, which college running backs are set to make an immediate impact (Chip compares one to Alvin Kamara, whether Derwin James might make the Chargers a viable Super Bowl contender and much more.
The 2018 NFL Draft is in the books, so Will Brinson, Ryan Wilson and John Breech are firing up the podcast machine to discuss who won and who lost. The Cardinals landed their franchise quarterback but did they do enough to warrant a celebration? Should the Giants get a pass for going a running back early? Did the Packers put themselves in position to reclaim the NFC North? Are the Seahawks the worst team in the NFC West? Is Dak Prescott a dead man walking with his receiver corps? Did John Elway revamp the Broncos on the fly? Why didn't that stupid parrot say anything?? All those questions answered plus much much more.
The 2018 NFL Draft is almost halfway home and Chris Trapasso and Ryan Wilson are joining Will Brinson to recap the second day of the draft. Fun fact: Wilson, a Steelers fan, owns an Oklahoma State sweatshirt for no reason other than it was $5 at TJ Maxx. Was it a SIGN? Maybe! Trapasso is huge on Mason Rudolph and James Washington, so they debate whether the picks were good for Pittsburgh. They also dive into the great second day for the Giants, David Akers destroying the Cowboys fans, whether or not the Colts had a good group of draft picks in the second round, if the Bears are helping Mitchell Trubisky, whether Josh Rosen is a winner already, what the Oakland Raiders are doing, how the Patriots are hiding their Jimmy G situation and much, much more.
The first round of the 2018 NFL Draft is in the books so Ryan Wilson and John Breech join Will Brinson to break down all the action and figure out who won and lost. The guys divide the draft into three sections -- 1-10, 11-20, 21-32 -- and pick a winner and loser from each, then give an overarching theme for the draft and close it out by looking at what might happen on the second day of the draft. Winners include the Ravens for landing Lamar Jackson, the Chargers for stealing Derwin James and the Packers for their Jaire Alexander play. Losers include the Saints for the price to move up and Josh Allen for having the weight of Buffalo on his shoulders.
