Puttcast: Mini Golf, Holey Moley & All Things Putting

Would we even be a real podcast if we didn't have a show at the end of the year recapping 2021? Sure, maybe - but we wouldn't feel real.

Tom and Pat kick off the show looking back at how each month of 2021 brought new minigolf experiences and what some of the key milestones were in the minigolf world. Then they share what their favorite new (to them) courses were in 2021 and some personal tournament highlights. Of course there was some Holey Moley talk and don't forget to listen all the way through so you know what to be exicted for in 2022!

Happy New Year!

One last time...We'll teach em how to say goodbye...(to a season of Holey Moley).

A couple months removed from the finale, and through the major tournament season for minigolf in the US, our hosts Tom and Pat reflect on what Season 3 of Holey Moley brought to our television sets in 2021. They breakdown their favorite holes, what didn't work for them in terms of putting and competition, as well as some hopes (and fears) for Season 4 and beyond. They also take a look forward to the 2022 International Minig Golf Summit and a potential minigolf movie in the works.

The Master's wasn't the only tournament in Myrtle Beach early in October, our hosts, together Aaron "El Presidente" Kaminkski of O-Street Mini Golf joined forces with the Mt. Atlanticus course to present the first Mighty Minotaur Mini Golf Tournament. It was a qualifying round style tournament with the Top 8 scores playing a final 9 hole dash to the cash.

We knock out the discussion pretty quick with our two guests this episode. We were joined by friend of the pod and the tournament winner Mark "The Highlighter" Novicki known best for his colorful choice of clothing as well as his good putting. Also making her podcast debut was Mandy Ranslow, the other half of The Putting Penguin who played in the tournament and was the camerawoman for the complete final round.

"A traditional unlike any...", wait wrong Masters tournament. Our hosts aren't talking Augusta but rather Myrtle Beach as they look back on the 2021 USPMGA Master's, a 12 round tournament held on October 7-9, 2021. An applicable quote for this year from Jim Nantz would be "It's a solitary journey, but it's one that no player...makes alone" as Olivia (Prokopova) Sahmel, newly married and a new mom, took home her 3rd green jacket in 2021.

Our hosts are joined by Holey Moley alum and competitive minigolfer Aaron "El Presidente" Kaminski to talk about their individual and collective experience with this year's tournament. You can check out the final scores for our trio here. We've also got some videos of the leader's final round and following Tom as he wraps up his final round. We also tease some minigolf to come in 2022 with the International Mini Golf Summit

It doesn't happen too often but our hosts were on the same minigolf course at the same time for a tournament and we kick off the episode getting their thoughts on the fun and competition of the O-Street $1,000 Tournament.

We then recap both episode 7 and 8 quickly before Mr. Tee marries himself to a few thoughts around Holey Matrimony in Design Time.
