As women, many of us have bought into the cultural narrative that we have to be everything to everyone and put everyone else’s needs before our own. That comes at a cost however, and far too often it isn't until we experience crisis that we realize, that isn't sustainable. During my conversation with Suzette, she shares how it took being hospitalized before she realized that she needed to reclaim her life as her own even while caring for a sick husband and four amazing girls.
