PwC's Global Risk podcast series

In our 2018 Global CEO Survey, CEOs around the world are increasingly more anxious about broader societal threats – geopolitical uncertainty, terrorism and climate change – compared to direct business risks such as changing consumer behavior or new market entrants.

In light of the findings of 2018 Global CEO Survey, we sat down to ask our risk leaders from around the world what are some of the key differences between the threats to growth identified globally and those ear-marked by CEOs in their respective territories.

In this episode, we talk with Rob Mesirow, leader of PwC’s Connected Services practice, about a wide range of topics including the Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, technology disruption and the future of the connected world through the lens of risk.

In this episode, we discuss how board members are taking a more holistic approach and viewing risk from an enterprise risk management perspective and what impact that change can have on their organisation’s overall strategy.

In this episode we explore how organisations can enhance strategy-setting, defining a unique value proposition and effectively managing risk to not only survive disruption, but to come out on top.

In this podcast we introduce the Compendium of Examples, a companion document to the 2017 COSO ERM Framework. We discuss 1. Why we created the Compendium of Examples; 2. What it’s about, and what’s it’s not about; plus 3. How to use it to shape your ERM process.
