- The Fix Mailbag w/Todd & Wade (pt. 2 of 2): What could cause collapse of wresting industry? Is Gunther in a good spot? Was Aldis treated fairly? Why is WWE in-ring worse? More (64 min.)SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
SHOW SUMMARY: In this week’s The Fix Mailbag with PWTorch VIP analyst Todd Martin and host PWTorch editor Wade Keller, they answer emails from VIP members on the following topics:
- Thoughts on the match order at Summerslam, in particular Liv Morgan vs. Iyo Sky
- Should Danhausen get a WWE Title match at WrestleMania since he’s undefeated?
- Why does Brock Lesnar seem to understand pro wrestlers more than John Cena and Seth Rollins in terms how to give a rub to others?
- Was Nick Aldis treated fairly by Paul Levesque?
- Did WWE do a roster split due to Triple H wanting a brand away from bigger stars so he could be the centerpiece?
- Is Gunther in a good spot and has he been treated fairly?
- Are those Cody Rhodes masks shite?
- Why is Rey Mysterio shining on the mic as AAA GM but WWE didn’t trust him in his prime to cut mid-ring promos?
- Why does a “bait and switch” always have to be seen as a negative?
- Has WWE’s in-ring product gotten worse since Vince McMahon’s ouster?
- Should US Bank Stadium host all future major WWE and AEW stadium shows?
- Todd’s pick for Brock’s final opponents if he was open to two in WWE, 1 in NXT, 1 in AEW, and 1 in New Japan
- How could a collapse of pro wrestling as a genre actually happen?
- What’s more detrimental – Danhausen to WWE or House of Torture to New Japan?
- Can we assess whether Summerslam this year was a financial failure?
- Should Ric Flair’s behavior in recent years cause people to recalibrate thinking he was sabotaged over the years by people in power in the late 1980s and 1990s?
- Is the Randy the Ram character in “The Wrestler” realistic since he’s a blend of Jake Roberts and Terry Funk, but there are incompatible traits in that mix?
- Should we be worried about the decline in indy wrestling?
