In today’s video, we face a major challenge as archaeological test sites cut through large areas of our farm, all at this stage without any compensation. While we fully respect the importance of protecting history, the disruption to farming operations is very real, and we show you exactly what this means on the ground.

Alongside the trial pits being dug, the team continues pushing hard with yard levelling, cleaning grain stores ready for mustard, repainting the crawlers, installing rodent shield protection around the combines, and clearing building materials. Autumn is in full swing at P.X. Farms, and there’s no shortage of jobs to get through!

We kick off with Emmy’s drone lessons before tackling ivy overgrowing the fences, beginning long-awaited Toyota Hilux repairs, and getting Tilly Tests underway. Work continues on the Shed of Dreams with new concrete panelling, but not without battling the return of that infamous sticky clay!

In the grain store, the Horsch Sprinter gets some maintenance while we use our colour sorter to remove ergot from wheat and clean grain ready for cashflow sales. Plus, we look at mole plough upgrades, grain storage, and haulage operations, before wrapping up with a visit from Henry for a field update.

It’s all go as we keep pushing to stay ahead before winter sets in!
