In this episode I talk with Hosava Kretzmann. He is an accomplished runner, husband and leader. Hosava Kretzmann is an enrolled tribal member of the Navajo Nation. However, his family roots extend to a small village on the Hopi Reservation called Hotevilla. Hosava’s So’o (grandmother) is Loretta Sequaptewa and his Qua’ah (grandfather) is Raymond Pawiki. His clans are Spider, Bluebird, Bear, and Mole. His grandfather’s clans are Bow & Arrow, Road Runner, Bamboo & Reed and Greasewood. He ran at the D2 level at Fort Lewis College, Durango, CO, where he earned his Public Health, B.A. 2018. Then, he went on to purse his Master’s at Northern Arizona University. He focused on Public Health in Indigenous Health, M.P.H. 2021. Through your his academic years, he never stopped running.
