PYNAPPOL

A football track is not written, but excavated.

Rooted in hardcore's raw crowds and shadow release, the person behind this track steps onto the pitch for the first time. Made for the collective roar of people sharing one direction.

Football unites at the extreme: joy and pain, that strange peace of belonging. Those currents run underneath the beat, visible to those who look.

Dedicated.

LYRICS

Pynappol conjures a Mediterranean dusk where modern sheen meets Maghrebi rhythms. Spanish guitar and Oriental oud answer one another as breathy ney and seaside textures float over a deep, unfolding groove. Gilded harmonies and gentle unison moments evoke warmth, calm, and quiet togetherness.

Ah aha ah aha ha ha

Bright lights in the city

Every sound just got me moving to the beat

Oh oh

My head won't stop spinning

Electric energy, it washes over me

Oh eh yeah

(Chorus)

Vibes

I came for the vibes

I'm here to have a good good time

That's my vibe

So are you down for the ride

(Chorus)

Vibes

I came for the vibes

I'm here to have a good good time

That's my vibe

So are you down for the ride

Ah ah aha

I wait for an opportunity to escape

I don't belong here

Oh I've got plans to take me miles away

Oh I'm gonna get it someday

(Chorus)

Vibes

I came for the vibes

I'm here to have a good good time

That's my vibe

So are you down for the ride

LYRICS

I sink my head into the darkness

a pot of ink spills over in my dreams

rippling out in rings

In the nighttime blooms a flower

iridescent, technicolour

it gleams,

the bright light tears at the seams

Ooh, ah

Your face glitters, kaleidoscopic

the shards reflecting light across the sky

together we crystallize

Spacetime sifts right through our fingers

stars are born in the air that lingers

in the

Infinite space between us

Ooh, ah

This track captures the raw, visceral essence of staring into the void when everything around you feels hollow, and the world has drained you of hope. It’s like walking through a desolate landscape, where every step deepens the sense of alienation and despair, as if you’re trapped in a surreal nightmare. But amidst this overwhelming darkness, there’s a flicker—a primal surge of anger that refuses to be extinguished. It’s a fierce reminder that, even when life feels like an abyss, you can harness that fury, pushing back against the void with every beat, every note, and carve out your own path.

The original is a record from 1995 called "Pulsingers Nacht" by Sons of Ilsa, which was often in my playlists. The track was actually meant to diss/make fun of ravers by these Austrian guys, but paradoxically it became a massive hit. A track that ended up being played in hardcore sets and euro-dance ones as well.

Pulsinger's Nacht became a retrò hit in the mid 2000's, once again, and now I decided to remake this sort of remix just for fun.

Vocals: Christofer & Peter a.k.a. Sons of Ilsa
