Qantas has been ordered to pay compensation to 17 hundred baggage handlers it made redundant during the Covid19 pandemic.

Last year the airline was found guilty of illegally outsourcing baggage handlers in 2020, and today's Federal Court ruling could see the airline payout in excess of 85 million dollars, pending further mediation between Qantas and unions.
