Our final guest is Christina Atat, the first female drag racer in the MENA region. She began her career at the age of 14 with the help of her father, Mostafa Atat, a veteran drag racer. Although drag racing is an uncommon sport among women in the MENA region, Christina plans to change that. Our guest for this episode is Hissa G. Al Mannai, a successful Qatar-based filmmaker. Hissa gives us a vivid recount of her struggles growing up with undiagnosed eyesight disorder. Qatar in Quotes' second guest is Shahryar Rana, a medical student from Weill Cornell in Qatar. Rana shares with us his touching story of having and recovering from cancer in high school. While painful, he also demonstrates how “battling” and “surviving” cancer is not what it is made out to be; a lot of the time recovery doesn't mean fighting off diseases in a militaristic sense, but rather watching TV and just waiting. His story is one of hope. Now as a medical student, Rana hopes to become a pediatric oncologist and treat similar cases.

Qatar in Quotes' first guest is Erick Kirimi, a Kenyan security guard at Georgetown University in Qatar who developed a career in Art since coming to Doha. Kirimi’s story is far from perfectly heartwarming, as the courageous and inspiring young man takes us on a strenuous journey that began in the streets of Kenya, and eventually led him to Qatar. As Kirimi hopes to expand his passion for art to a full-time job, he is also set on inspiring migrant workers to believe in their dreams as well: “we have a life after our uniform.”
