Local musician Josh Duffee talks to us about his new web program teaching about local music history, as well as his storied musical career as part of the Josh Duffee Orchestra, The Metrolites, Class of ’82 and other bands. We chat about his upcoming online gigs as well as plans for his ’80s cover band, jazz bands and international travels.

Brett Hitchcock, director of audience development for Circa ’21 and The Speakeasy, talks to us about how the coronavirus has impacted both businesses, and how he sees things playing out with both theaters and the local theater scene. Brett also talks about his personal experience being on a cruise ship when the coronavirus quarantines began to hit, and what it was like being in quarantine for two weeks after being stuck on the ship. It’s an interesting conversation that covers a variety of unique topics.

Kai Swanson and Josh Ehrmann will be competing for the same spot on the Rock Island County Board, with the election being held Tuesday, March 17. In an effort to inform our listeners, we’ve interviewed the two candidates separately and offer these completely uncut, uncensored and unedited conversations to you, the voters, to listen to to become best informed on where the two stand on various issues. The format for each show was exactly the same, to offer as much fairness, equality and transparency as possible.

Both candidates met with QCUncut host Sean Leary at Cool Beanz in Rock Island at different times on the same day. Both were asked exactly the same questions in the same order. Both were given as much time as they liked to answer all the questions. And both were given the chance at the end to expound on anything else they would like that we hadn’t covered.
