Alex Hayden joined the Motor Racing Network as a Pit/Turn Announcer in 1997. A native of Muncie, Indiana, he now resides in Goldsboro, North Carolina. After working as an actor at Universal Studios Florida, he auditioned and gained the announcer position at Wayne County Speedway and Southern National Speedway. In 2019, Alex replaced Joe Moore to join Jeff Striegle and NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace to co-anchor the NASCAR Cup Series broadcasts. Along with MRN, Alex hosts a talk show on an ESPN radio affiliate as well as hosting a live television show in Raleigh. He serves as a television play-by-play announcer for football and basketball as well. He has served as a pit reporter for HDNet/SPEED TV. His acting credits include appearances on WB TV’s “One Tree Hill”.
