Band director Maggie Oates and assistant band director Courtney Long discuss various fundraisers that the Davenport West High School Band is doing to raise money to play at the 100th birthday celebration of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., next year. Guests from the Rock Island County Soil and Water Conservation District talk about their mission and programs that they have to raiser awareness about water conservation.

Rich Hall talks about a fundraiser to help save the Ohnward Fine Arts Center in Maquoketa, Iowa.

Melissa Carlson from Families Helping Families on the tree fundraiser to re-plant all of the trees that were knocked down during the derecho in August of 2020. Shari Hogerl of the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center talked about blood donation drives during the pandemic. Kelly Craft from Gilda’s Club Quad Cities on many of the different programs they have for families battling cancer.

Sydne Oszfolk of Ducks Unlimited of the Quad Cities talks about their upcoming banquet and auction to raise money to support wetlands conservation. Kirby Marcure from Junior League of the Quad Cities discussed the impact Junior League has on women and leadership roles as well as volunteerism in the community.
