In today’s message, I walk us through Luke 1 to show how God begins fulfilling His long-awaited promises through the miraculous birth of John the Baptist, even after 400 years of silence. We look at Zechariah and Elizabeth’s story to see that God is always working, that righteousness is revealed through obedience, and that our prayers are never wasted. And finally, I remind us that the same Spirit who fills John from the womb now fills us, empowering us to live out the calling God has placed on our lives.
Hey everyone, and welcome to the Becoming Better Podcast. My name is Nate, and I’m really glad you’re joining us today. On this episode, Jason, Josh, and I sit down to talk about the holidays and some of the fun things happening around Prescott. After that, we dive into last Sunday’s message and share our biggest takeaways.
If you haven’t had a chance to listen to Sunday’s sermon yet, I’d encourage you to hit pause and check that out first—it’ll give a lot more context to the conversation we’re about to have.
I also want to invite you to join us for our Advent Prayer happening over the next 23 days: from 6–9 AM every morning at the Prescott campus and the Prescott Valley office, and from 8–10 AM at the school on Sundays. We’d love to see you there.
And as always, for more info on what’s happening around our campuses, head over to quadcity.church/events.
Alright, without further ado, we hope you enjoy this conversation.
Today we start an expository deep dive through the book of Luke. Who was Luke? and what makes him qualified to write an historical record of the life of Jesus?
Welcome to the Becoming Better podcast. On today's episode, Josh, Jason, and David jump on the show and talk about Josh's sermon from last Sunday. We hope you enjoy this episode.
Jesus's warning to the church of Laodicea is clear, and it is one that is incredibly applicable to us today.
Welcome to the Becoming Better podcast. On today's episode, Freddie, Corey, and Nate jump on the show and talk about Josh's sermon from last Sunday. We hope you enjoy this episode.
Unlike the other letters we have read so far, Jesus doesn't start with anything positive for the church in Sardis. They look good on the outside, but they are dead on the inside.
Thanks for joining us here on the Becoming Better podcast. In this episode, Jason answers the questions that he had from his vision sermon. Then we dive into last Sunday's episode.
Well, hey, and welcome to the Becoming Better podcast! I’m your host, Nate, and I’m so glad you’re here. On today’s episode, Josh and I sit down to discuss The Great Chair Heist in Spain. We also dive into part of Sunday’s message and talk about the worship night we had that evening. Since Jason is missing this week, we’re holding off on answering listener questions so he can join us and share more about why these four points made the list and how he envisions their impact. If you still have questions or thoughts to share, you can reach us at quadcity.church/podcast.
We hope you enjoy this conversation!
