In this episode, I’m sharing how to achieve quality of life as an entrepreneur. Now, I'm smiling because quality of life, I think, is one of those things that we all strive to accomplish. We strive to achieve. We want to be in balance with our family and business.

When I started my own company in 2012, and one of the reasons why my husband and I are so passionate about running our business, and one of the reasons why we are in this for the long haul, is quality of life.

We make sure that we take the time to plan out our vacations and there's certain things that are non-negotiable when it comes to our family and our kids. I know this is probably not rocket science, but if it's not on my calendar, it usually doesn't happen. So getting things scheduled makes a really, really big difference.

The next thing is what are your priorities? I know for a very long time, I mean basically since I had kids, I would say my kids are first. But then what would happen is something would come up. I'd have a really important call from a client or an amazing speaking opportunity, and all of a sudden my kids were important, but they kind of got pushed to the side because of this great opportunity. I've really begun to realize is that when you say that something is your most important thing, you have to ask yourself, do your actions speak louder than your words?

At the end of the day, are you going to wish that you spent more time at the office? Am I going to wish I spent more time on stage? No. So having those priorities in place is really important.
