Domestic Bliss is a 10 part podcast series which covers the rise and fall of Celtic’s domestic dominance, as told through the 10 most significant Glasgow Derbies since 2016. The most dominant domestic period in the history of Scottish football culminated in an unprecedented Quadruple Treble Success for Celtic in December 2020, who were just off the back of the club winning 9 league titles in a row for the second time in its history. Yet, the club’s board has been accused of resting on its laurels and of adopting an ‘ignorance is bliss’ mindset, which has allowed our fiercest rivals to usurp us as Champions in our fabled 10 in a row season in spite of various warning signs and a seemingly insurmountable financial gulf between the two clubs. In this series, we will analyse Celtic’s rise to domestic bliss and fall from grace through the lens of the Glasgow Derby. In essence, these are the derbies that won the 9 and lost the 10.
