Do you hear the music even though it has been covered up?
The world has changed...but it changes every day.I know that as most of you already know that some changes are more turbulent than others causing things to die and be reborn.
Like most the "Music Industry" has certainly taken a beating causing it to become flat. Some say it is dying. But, what is the "Music" or "Industry"? "Music" is defined as: A vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. "Industry" is defined as: "Hard work" according to google , and I agree. Which makes the remark the " the Music industry" or any "Industry is dying, nonsense.
Music has always been an labor of love because since the dawn of time when the first man & woman stood in the garden in peace listening to music; as flutters of wings infused the atmosphere and roars of the beast held the bass & the gentle shimming sounds of the breeze that past through each leaf strummed in tune with the world around them. Sounds simple, but it was "hard work' to be in tune with nature, look where we are now. The idea of replicating became necessary humans began to play instruments in sync with there own hearts "The Music" spreading across the spectrum of life birthing a labor of love "The industry".
Perhaps, if people talk about the death of 'industry" ie "Music industry" Perhaps, they simple mean that effort has subsided, but speaking as a musician myself, my efforts have not dwindled as most who love their craft "The music" if anything it has been amplified for the need to stay in tune with the world around them. My "industry is not dying I continue doing the craft I love and connecting to other musicians.
The view from my truth "The industry " of life "hard work" can never die it is illusion, a mind fuck or an effort to block your motivation, your life, your talent.... you.
The reality is our finances may fluctuate, but they will recuperate if we continue "the industry" play instruments in sync with our hearts " The Music."
Despite what your vocation those of us that still have "the industry" in us are responsible for it's rebirth.... it in our image and music is no different and like a I wrote earlier, that is the change that I know and that you feel deep down inside .
