It's the game of the year if you're a traveling footy fan, the one where you go to your rivals' house and, if you're Charlotte FC, you beat them for a four-peat sweet, sweet victory. Four Things You Need To Do, and One Thing You Don't?

What started out as a slow and uninspiring game for Charlotte FC against DC United pivoted entirely on the goal contributions of both of the Crown's second string fullbacks of David Schnegg and Will Cleary, although star DP Pep Biel had the most overall standout performance in Charlotte's 3-1 home win. Individual performances are all well and good; however, there were definitely opportunities for improvement. The queens chat about where some struggles currently lie as the whole team needs to be strong.

In another double header episode, the Crown earns a win at home 3-1 against Columbus, and settles for a 3-3 draw in Toronto after having allowed their opponents to claw two goals back late in the game. Although Charlotte manages to get goals across a wide spread of players, they can't seem to quit leaking them either. No one is safe when it comes to looking at where things can be improved to settle those crucial points, especially in away matches.

After Charlotte FC managed a two goal win in the second half against Atlas, the Mallorcan Magician earned himself a red card and took himself out of the game against Pachuca. With a rotated roster and even a debut by new DP Maxi, the Crown were routed from a penalty shootout by an-the-death goal by Pachuca, sealing their fate for yet another Leagues Cup. It was fun while it lasted.

A lot to talk about this week as Charlotte celebrates its first MLS All-Star events!  But first, Charlotte FC traveled to clinch an away win and clean sheet against the Red Bulls, 2-nil. Goals by All-Stars Pep Biel and Ashley Westwood were made of pure class while Kahlina and the defensive line earned only the third clean sheet on the season. Then USMNT defender Tim Ream showed his professional skill with near-deadly precision and accuracy in the 2026 MLS All-Star Skills Passing Challenge, bringing home the win and a trophy for his efforts. And finally, Ream, Biel, and Westwood earn debuts as MLS All-Stars in a match that tallies a win for Coach Dean Smith but truly showcases multiple All-Stars MLS talent in goal contributions and standout performances. Also back on topic is transfers and rumors and the performances of those who might be called on to fill in for the lack of depth.

It's the Summer of Soccer, and the Queens have been living the World Cup! But MLS is finally back, and Charlotte FC takes on the rivalry with Atlanta at home and despite going up two goals, still loses the advantage ending up with a 2-2 draw. For the first time in 2026, DP Liel Abada gets a goal to follow up Kerwin Vargas's topbin, but it's clear that the team is shaking off the rust from the long break.
