Queensland's plan to construct six new special schools has drawn criticism from Australia's Disability Discrimination Commissioner, Rosemary Kayess, who is advocating for a national roadmap to inclusive education.
President of the Queensland Association of Special Education Leaders, Andrew Thompson, told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, "We support the notion of inclusion, but it's got to be done in a way that's going to be supportive of the students and also the staff working with those particular students."
