Today’s guest is Avé-Ameenah Long, a Black Queer Woman in Oakland, CA/Ohlone land. Avé holds a degree in Dance and Child Development. She developed and created an art-based after-school program focusing on socio-emotional development through a creative lens and served as an art teacher for a preschool developed for Queer families and Children of Color. Currently, Avé is the owner, cinematographer and photographer of Keep It Diasporic. When she’s not photographing Black Joy and travel, she’s working at a black and Queer-owned organic juice bar, Super Juiced, in Old Oakland, CA which helps expand her growing interest in food justice and body nourishment. Dr. Marléna Gasper (she/her) is a revolutionary entrepreneur and healing strategist, working at the intersections of education, urban farming, and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) culture in Los Angeles, CA/Occupied Tongva land.  She divides her time between her consultant work with ARC MultiServices, Inc. coaching school leaders, teachers, and executive leadership to create safe and personalized learning experiences for underserved communities and marginalized voices.  When she is not healing students in this manner, she practices Integrative Medicine, inclusive of Intuitive Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Personalized Nutrition, Myofascial Release, Hydro-Oscillating Vibration Therapy™ (patent pending) and Cannabis Cooking (CBD Food Infusion) with Sol.CentriX Wellness group™.  Although she treats a wide spectrum of health and ailments, her specialty there is imbalance, disorder, and or disease resulting from trauma inflicted on people of color.

He studied Broadcasting at CCSF, interned in a Farming Internship (Rogue Farm Corps Portland OR Chapter), and Local Agriculture Projects in San Francisco/Occupied Ramaytush land. Currently he specializes in Vegan Farm to table Restaurants understanding the process that goes from germinating a seed that will provide awesome beautiful fruits to creating in a unique restaurant experience.

Our first guest you may recognize from the podcast Healing with Raymond and Billy. Raymond (he/they) is a queer, trans southerner. He holds a BA in Environmental Science from Northwestern University, MFA in creative writing from Antioch Los Angeles, graduate of Zen Shiatsu Chicago and licensed shiatsu practitioner. Raymond is a shiatsu therapist (currently on pandemic hiatus), writer, sound producer, and keyboardist.
