    This episode begins with a treat - a full length edition of Alice's Restaurant by Arlo Guthrie followed by the Electric Indian by Kem-O-Sabe.  Next is Desmond Dekker and the Aces with a song entitled the Israelites.  Another instrumental is coming up by Booker T and the Mgs called Time is Tight.  The year is 1967 for the entrance of Charlie O'Keefe and Good Time Charlie's got the Blues.  Another instrumental now with Ferrante and Tiecher from the Movie in 1969 Midnight Cowboy.  The next song is attributed to the Beatles but only Paul and John actually produce it called The Ballad of John and Yoko.  If you are so inclined you can let us know what you think of our Podcast.

    The Creedence Clearwater Revival and Green River got us underway and directly after them is Steppenwolf with Rock me.  The Year is 1967 for a song by Barry Allen entitled Lovedrops.  Next is a group called Crazy Elephant with a song called Gimme Gimme Some lovin'.  The New Colony SIx recorded the next song called Things I'd like to say.  The River is Wide by the Grass Roots was released in 1967 and I hope you like this podcast and lest us know.

    Dance with the music by Sly and the Family Stone is our first number 2 song this hour with The Beatles up next and Lady Madonna.  Gene and Debbe did a duet with a tune called Playboy from 1968 and on their heels is Georgie Fame and the song about the infamous duo Bonnie and Clyde.  Kenny Rogers began his musical career with The First Edition and recorded their first big hit "I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in".  They were not the first to record the song however - Jerry Lee Lewis was first followed by Teddy Hill and the Southern Soul but it is mostly remembered as a success by Kenny Rogers band.

    Down by the Lazy River by the Osmonds from 1972 got us underway followed by Cher with The Way of love.  Next is a Paul Simon creation based upon a restaurant menu item that is a chicken and egg dish which he entitled A Mother and Child reunion.  The New Seekers sing about peace, love and Harmony in the song entitled I like to teach the world to sing.  Johnathan Edwards sings about Sunshine which was an attempt to distract us from President Nixon and the Vietnam war.  There's more but I will allow you to discover it by listening and consider letting us know what you think.
