Thomas, The Chiffons, John Fred & his playboy band, The Dovells, The Exciters, The Lovin' Spoonful, Tommy James and the Shondells, Jimmy Dean and Tommy Roe.  You'll have to listen to find our which songs correspond to the respective artist.  Be assured it is a fun hour of nostalgia.

If you like the Beatles you probably are like me and like Paul McCartney too and his album Band on the Run - our opening number two song this hour, since we are on a Quest for Silver, is entitled Mrs. Vanderbilt or as my two young sons used to call it the Ho Hey Ho song.  I hope you enjoy this hour as much as we did producing it.

This is the first of many episodes in which we play songs from the 1960s but not exclusively for we play songs that were not number one.  Often these songs live longer than the ones that hit the top of the charts but then, you can listen and see if you don't agree.  Here is a startling factoid - Our first song is by Creedence Clearwater Revival - that's right the CCR did not have a number one single EVER in the USA - not even Proud Mary!!!
