https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmF2u2snfzg --~--
In this video I answer 3 questions from people who have subscribed to my website asking about issues related to personality disorders.
The purpose of this video is to provide answers and suggestions to individuals with traits or a personality disorder, or to help a loved one with traits or a personality disorder.
The following are suggestions from Dr. Fox and not an indication of a therapeutic relationship with those posing questions.
All questions were submitted with the understanding that the question would be read and answered in an open forum, YouTube, for others to see and benefit from. Their identities are obscured.
Question #1: Zefi from Australia asks "Just a quick question re Dependent PD- the DSM explains the dependency features as occurring within a functional context (i.e., driven by the belief “I can’t do things on my own”). I am wondering though, whether you consider DPD as entailing an emotional dependence also?"
Question #2: Michele from the Netherlands asks "Is there a growing beyond borderline, or are there clients who never come to that point."
Question #3: E asks "how does someone with bpd or another disorder that easily loses a grip on things know when they are overreacting. I ask this because I am constantly uncertain if I misunderstood and overreacted or if I was right in being so upset."
