Quiet On Set Podcast

Ewan is recovering from sickness and Lachlan has a messy room. In other news, Netflix shared some of its biggest titles for 2024, PlayStation aired its State of Play, and the Apple Vision Pro was released. Lachlan watched Mean Girls, El Conde, and played Palworld and Alan Wake 2. Ewan watched Aryglle, Orion and the Dark, Masters of the Air, and the fifth season of Fargo.

IT'S LACHLAN'S BIRTHDAY! This week we discuss the Nominations for the 96th Academy Awards. What were the Snubs and Surprises? One of the films that unfortunately did not make the Final 5 for the Internation Feature Category is Aki Kaurismäki's Fallen Leaves, which is the film we are going to review in detail. The Sundance Film Festival has wrapped and Ewan caught some film virtually that he'll tell you about and Lachlan started True Detective: Night Country.

Ewan, Lachlan, and Kevin go over the release date calendar for 2024 and tell you what they are looking forward to the most. From Dune Part II, Mickey 17, and Nosferatu to a fourth Despicable Me movie I guess... there are a ton of sequels, prequels, and spin-offs as expected but also a bunch of exciting filmmakers premiering their work this year.
