Adam had grown up in Chicago where he used to go for walks along the lake when fish used to swim in it before the dark days. It’s all swamp now and mutant stock lives in it now. Adam was about twenty when the war started and Chicago was pretty well destroyed and it wasn’t safe to be in the street. Adam stumbled upon a big warehouse, which looked like a fine big safe place and moved in. Then on the second day someone dropped an atom bomb and the whole of Chicago was blown up except this big safe warehouse. The whole country and it’s people where destroyed except for Adam, Emily and the Doc. . .
