In this solo episode, I share how you can use the intuitive process of innovation to create your own path to success. Innovation is the act of changing established processes, and it is something we tap into naturally when we are working in the unknown. Learn how you can use your intuition to create your path to success. Discover the common mental blocks that make us uncomfortable in the unknown and how you can overcome them. Learn why innovation is an important part of any strategy. Begin building momentum in your creative business today by putting your own ideas into brave action.
In this episode, I talk about the psychology behind intuition and how it works with our brains and bodies. I share how you can use your own intuition as a self-healing tool for depression, anxiety, stress, overwhelm, and most importantly, as a tool for getting to know yourself more intimately. I also include a simple breathing exercise and mental muscle exercise for making your intuition easier to perceive.
The science from this episode is drawn from Dual Processing Theory, which looks at logic and intuition as 2 distinct processes within the brain that use different pathways from one another in order to communicate with us.

As we collectively become more interested in our spiritual and mental health, we can also see a rise of cult leadership. This is especially true in the spiritual industry (such as retreats, personal development work, and coaching or healing) where cults can easily use spirituality in order to get their needs met. . . even if this is at your expense. However, the spiritual industry can also be an avenue through which you find the specific help that you need in order to feel connected to yourself and to your life.
In this episode, I share common red flags and psychological tricks that are used by cults. I also share my personal experience with a retreat leader who utilized a lot of these tactics.
Watch this episode so that you can learn what to look out for. This will help you to engage with the spiritual & personal development industry safely.
- the psychology of spirituality
- covert narcissism and groupthink
- attachment needs and belonging
- appropriation of spirituality
- how to look after your spiritual and mental health in an empowered, informed way
It is my hope that this episode empowers you to explore spirituality safely.

In this revolutionary episode, I call out the narcissistic pattern in leadership by reflecting on the ways that we naturally are drawn to this type of leadership. We are drawn to the person with the most charisma, even (and especially) if the charisma is suspiciously high. We assume that the best leaders are the impervious leaders who never lose, never fall down, and always know the right thing to say. We are drawn to the person who claims to have all the answers to our deepest insecurities. A lot of these patterns can leave us susceptible to gravitating toward narcissistic partnerships whether we are fully aware or not. Listen to this episode to learn the common red flags and patterns of a narcissistic leader. We will also reflect on the green flags that come with strong leaders. What if we began seeing empathic traits as powerful too? Imagine the type of leaders who would draw us in then.
In this conversation with spiritual business coach, Mindy Mayhew, we talk about the mental health challenges that come with spiritual entrepreneurship. This episode is unique because it is a full conversation originally hosted in Mindy's Facebook group. This is not an interview, but rather, a two-way conversation between Mindy and myself about our experiences of building spiritual businesses in the midst of mental illness and spiritual awakenings.
Mindy is a spiritual business coach who brings Daoist philosophy and human design together with business strategy in order to support healers with growing online businesses around their gifts.
