Montgomery J. Granger is US Army Reserve Major (ret). was called up to serve on 9/11/2001 by his Uniondale, NY reserve center on Long Island. In Jan 2002 he was tasked with helping to run the military detention facility at the U.S. Naval Station at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. In the fall of 2004, Major Granger was deployed to Iraq and served 14 months of active duty there on his third deployment after his stint at Gitmo and one at Ft Dix, NJ. In Iraq he served in Baghdad, Abu Ghraib, Camp Bucca, and Ashraf, Iraq, as Medical Service officer for military detention facility operations.
