Deaths of the great and the good, but entirely coincidentally, are traditionally announced in threes, so the old adage goes, so, as we put episode 23 together we learned of the passing of Henry Kissinger, Alistair Darling and Shane MacGowan. In their own different ways they have touched the lives of millions and Tim has some very personal reflections on his first encounters with Shane and his band, The Pogues, just before they become famous.
Rory continues to bemoan that he is being made to throw stuff out (Ed . you mean recycle) that he has carefully curated for much of his adult life. As his talking therapy continues, he and Tim, look back on the changing face of the tools and devices we used to carry around compared with the modern smartphones in our pockets and bags that many of us have come to rely on these days.
Woven amongst all of this are tall tales of winter wonders with shivering snow memories from childhood and North American travels.
There's no interview this week as we've been planning the launch of our chat show on the Isle of Wight's multi-award-winning community radio station, Vectis Radio. Our first show goes out at 3pm on Saturday 9th December, and we're excited to be part of this amazing team. Find out more here.
Thanks for listening.
