On the programme today we spoke with Kurt Krause, Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Otago, about the implications of Aoteaora’s first confirmed case of monkeypox. We heard from Dr Mavis Duncanson, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Women's Health at the University of Otago, about a new study which sheds light on the significant food insecurity faced by low income, female-led sole parent households. Finally, Keep New Zealand Beautiful’s deputy chairperson Mandy Mayhem-Bullock joined for a kōrero on this year’s KNZB Clean Up Week, as the organisation celebrates its 55th birthday.
