Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka's new Vice-Chancellor, Grant Robertson, joins our News Producer, Jamiema Lorimer, in the R1 booth to talk about what he's bringing to the role, his goals and how he'll be advocating for the student body.

Grant Robertson celebrated his first day in the role on July 1st, welcomed with a pōwhiri by mana whenua at Ōtākou Marae. Robertson is the first non-academic to hold Otago's Vice-Chancellor role, but he has extensive experience being the former Deputy Prime Minister of Aotearoa and Finance Minister, as well as OUSA President in 1992 and NZUSA Co-President in 1996.
