The Dunedin City Council yesterday unveiled their designs for a $28 million upgrade to take place on George Street starting after Easter and is projected to conclude by 2024. The upgrade will see three individual blocks given their own unique themes that reflect Ōtepoti’s status as a UNESCO City of Literature and emphasise mana whenua.To get a green design perspective, we are speaking with Finn Campbell from Gen Zero Dunedin.

Ravensdown uses phosphate from Western Sahara for their superphosphate soil substance which is used widely by the agricultural community in Aotearoa. Environmental Justice Ōtepoti believes that they should change their phosphate source given the ongoing occupation that has left many refugees displaced and the impacts it has on the environment.
