I am come to realize that what people want with productivity is not necessarily how much you work, but the symbolism of proving your worth to the outside world. Its more about the institutionalization of how we understand productivity, than actually about improved performance.

    I talk about how business school education is focused on the extremes and focused on making sure that only the best get the best education. We need to start focusing on how do we move the average or below average, and those lessons are a lot different than the lessons that you got for making the best you well.
