  • The Value & Importance Of Questioning In Life: Education, Careers, & The Nature Of Learning

Anything truly worthwhile in life defies explanation.

People may see you as crazy or narcissistic.

    They are right.

If you aim to make a meaningful impact, you must pursue what others can't understand.

This often means venturing into the unknown—it’s never been done before, making decisions that seem irrational to everyone else.

#Economics and financial accounting is perhaps the least natural thing we do as humans.

The most important choices—like finding a partner, climbing mountains, innovating, or even choosing to live on your own —rarely make logical sense.

Marriage, having kids, vacations, or running marathons are all just about the worst financial choices you can make.

Getting an #education often ends in financial ruin for many.

It’s ALL terrible ideas. You should never do it.

    DON’T DO THEM.

They can never be justified or rationalized, and that's precisely why they matter.

They are the best choices you will ever make.

Even if they never work out.

  • The Paradox of Choice: Why Every Decision is Both Right and Wrong

No matter your intentions or missions in life, you’ll never fully understand the impact of your actions. There will always be positives and negatives to whatever you do. If someone tells you there’s a single, clear answer, they’re inherently wrong—because there never is one. Whether you choose to act or not act, both choices can be right, and both can be wrong. Life is complex, and embracing that complexity means understanding that certainty is an illusion. The key is to make choices that align with your values and accept that the outcomes will always be a mix of good and bad.

  • PhD Pressure and Loneliness: The Conversations Academia Tries to Silence

In the world of PhDs, it’s common for people to chastise those who dare to admit there are real problems. But let’s be honest: there’s a tremendous amount of loneliness, and many of us are insecure overachievers, constantly striving to prove we’re remarkable. Here’s the truth—you’re already remarkable, just as you are. You don’t need to prove anything to anyone.

I’m not ashamed to talk about these issues openly, and neither should you be. We need to work on this collectively. It’s time to stop pretending everything’s fine and start addressing the loneliness and insecurity that so many of us face in PhD life. Together, we can create a more supportive and understanding academic community.

  • The Myth of 110%: Why Slowing Down Will Actually Make You More Successful

Stressors in your life are often illusions—either imposed by others or internalized by you. We tend to push ourselves to go at 110% all the time, thinking that it’s the only way to succeed. But here’s the truth: if you take a step back and allow yourself to slow down, you’ll actually do better. The anxiety, the pit in your stomach, and the tension you feel are all products of the pressure to be fast and efficient at all costs.

Consider this: most machines in manufacturing plants don’t run at full capacity; they operate at 80% or 90%, with downtime built in to prevent breakdowns. The same applies to you. You don’t have to run at maximum capacity to be effective. In fact, you’ll achieve just as much—if not more—by allowing yourself to take breaks and forgiving yourself for not being perfect. Learn to be okay with who you are, and you’ll find that the stressors you once felt start to fade, making room for a more balanced and fulfilling life.

  • What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up?

One of the hardest questions that are asked of you is, what do you want to be when you grow up? For me it’s not about who or what I want to be when I grow up. Rather, it’s how other people feel around me how I impact their lives.

  • The Hidden Genius Behind Everyday Tech: Digital Clocks

We often overlook the world we live in, but many simple technologies are truly glorious achievements. Take the digital clock in front of me—it’s the result of centuries of innovation and countless hours of effort. The precision and reliability we now take for granted would have been unimaginable even a few decades ago. This everyday marvel is a testament to human ingenuity and the relentless pursuit of progress. It’s a reminder that even the simplest technologies around us are the culmination of incredible achievements.

  • Why I’ll Never Fit In Academia: Embracing My True Path

I’ll never fit in with academia, and I’ll always feel like a failure in that world. But that’s not a bad thing—it’s a sign that I’m destined to carve out my own space, one that truly fits who I am. Most of the world doesn’t align with who I am, and that’s a gift. If you spend your life following what everyone else says you should do, you’ll wake up one day and realize you’ve lived someone else’s life, not your own. Don’t fit in; instead, follow the path that makes you who you are, not what others want you to be.

  • The True Sign of Product-Market Fit: When Your Story Becomes the Conversation

How do you really know when you've achieved product-market fit? It’s not just about the money or capturing an audience. The true marker is more profound. It’s when you can talk openly about your product and feel a sense of pride and fulfillment. It’s when your story resonates, and people genuinely want to listen. It’s that magical moment where your journey becomes bigger than just a business venture—it becomes a narrative that others care about, and that’s when you know you’ve truly made it. Product-market fit isn’t just a business metric; it’s when your story connects with others on a deeper level.

  • Why Hard Things Matter: The Challenges You’ll Appreciate When You’re 80

The hardest things in life are meant to be that way. The struggles, the challenges, the moments when you thought about giving up—they all have a purpose.

When you're 80 or 90, you'll look back and realize that those difficult paths were the most important ones you ever took. You won’t remember the easy wins, but you’ll treasure the tough battles that shaped who you are.

It was harder than you ever imagined, but it was worth every moment. Embrace the struggle now, knowing that your future self will thank you.
