Hello everyone. I hope you all are doing good and enjoying great mental health. The weather is very good these days. Everyday when I see a beautiful sun in the sky I feel like "today is going to be a great day". And sitting in the sun without doing anything is just waste of time. So I sat in the sun and always do the things I am best at. And BY best at, I mean crochet. Today I decided to crochet a cute kitty 😺. And the inspiration was the season that recently came out "XO KITTY". I have watched the 1st season and recently the second season came out I watched it and it was on my mind when I decided to crochet something. So without wasting any time I searched for kitty to tutorial and choose one to make.
The things required to make this are pretty simple. They are, crochet hook ,yarn, tapestry needle 🪡, scissors ✂️.
The pattern I followed was not very difficult. It only include a series of sc. So I started with 8sc in mgR. Then only increases in the second round and then sc and inc. After that I only did sc for 8 rounds.
When I was crocheting my mother was sitting next to me. And she was like how is this going to be a kitty. I told her to wait for a while. She thought I was going to make the body too. But my plan was to make only the head for keychain. When I completed it she realized the whole idea. I made the face stuffed it with cotton. When I was coming from my hostel I forget to bring the pillow polyester with me. So my mother did not allow me to extract any polyester from the pillow so I had to use the cotton for stuffing. But it was not that bad. But the polyester is always a best option. I continued after stuffing with face and closed it.
After that I did the face embroidery. I made the eyes and smile. I also made the little bow to add on the face to enhance the cuteness of a kitty. I faced the need problem again. When I was packing my crochet stuff I made sure to bring the needle but I was not able to find the needle so I had to use tunniest needle. And another problem was the black yarn. I forget to bring the black yarn which made my work even more difficult.i searched for the black thread but couldn't find it. But I was able to find the brown thread. So I used that for eyes. I also added the ears to the face. And it was complete. I grabbed the phone from my father and did the photoshoot using that. Here are some final pictures.
I used the heart which I have already crochet to make the pictures more beautiful.
