The Talmud has been a favorite target of antisemites for at least a millennium. Since it was written, the Talmud has been misquoted and used to fuel and justify antisemitism. Some of the quotes don’t exist altogether, others are taken out of context, and others are intentionally misrepresented or misquoted. In this thought-provoking lecture, Rabbi Dov Lisker, Director of the Mequon Torah Center, explores the origins of these accusations and provides reasoned responses rooted in historical, textual, and philosophical analysis. This class was given on Wednesday, March 26 at the Peltz Center for Jewish Life.Source sheethttps://www.sefaria.org/sheets/636066?lang=bi
