In the fifth aliyah of Parshas Vayeishev, we read about Yosef in charge of the house of Potifar. After his initial success in Mitzrayim, Yosef is once again thrown into a pit, and goes through another process to rise to prominence. We explore an explanation for the double story of Yosef, explaining the contrast between Yosef not permitted to take part in the bread of Potifar, and later becoming in charge of the bread of Mitzrayim. Yosef's process from being involved with himself to caring genuinely about his brothers is what enables him to take charge of the bread, and ultimately sustain them with true care. - Library: Bnai Jacob Shaarei Zion - RabbiHauer.org
