Eternity is real and people will live somewhere during it. We all would live better if we had a greater understanding of our eternal home.

In John 14, Jesus said some very encouraging words. Jesus said that we should not fear. Jesus said that He is preparing a place for us. Jesus said that He will come again to take us to that place called heaven. Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus said that, though He was going away, He would not leave us comfortless, but that He would send the Holy Spirit to live in us and lead us, guide us, and direct us. Let's Jesus' words be a comfort to you.

Jesus is the light of the world. When He proclaimed this to the religious leaders of His day, He was proclaiming to be the Messiah. Jesus is still the light of the world today. Jesus rebuked Peter for suggesting that Jesus would not have to go to the Cross. The Cross was God's plan of redemption. Jesus told Peter that any thought that was opposed to the will of God and to stop the plan of God was satanic in origin. We, as Christians, have the power and authority through the name of Jesus Christ to tell every thought, every imagination, everything demonic force that would try to stop the plan and purpose of God in our lives to "Get Thee Behind Me Satan!"

The Holy Spirit moved in this service and we took the opportunity to pray for many who were in need. Pastor Bubba also reminded us of the importance and necessity of calling for the elders of the church to pray from James 5.
