Up this week: Who are the millionaires behind the Navy Hill development? Why have the proposal and plans been so opaque? What happened to citizen engagement? And what the hell is a TIF??

We've got a team of experts to unpack the answers to these questions. Joining us are Allan Charles-Chipman, Dr. Ben Teresa and Dr. Kristin Reed, members of the Richmond For All coalition.

We've got two of Richmond's legendary movement builders on the show this week. Art Burton, founder of Kinfolk and leader of CUIA, and former NAACP state director King Salim Khalfani sit down together for the first time in 20 years to connect past narratives to today's push for freedom and justice.

In this episode we unpack different conversations about Medicare for All and the state of healthcare in the U.S.

This week we amplify the importance of US in media. First up, we chatted about Black film with Tim Reid as he prepared for his ASWAD experience as host of the first ever Film Festival that happened this past week in Williamsburg. He also shares his thoughts on Black minds in the US and how we are conditioned differently than Black storytellers across the globe. We wrap up with a current media conflict rooted in race that's coming to the surface this week in the Supreme Court. Byron Allen is suing Comcast for $20 billion and Ed Miller shares his thoughts on the Civil Rights Act of 1866.

We're tracing the thread between housing, eviction and -- yep, you got it -- Navy Hill. Joining us for this episode are friends of the show Allen-Charles Chipman and Omari Al-Qaddafi, as well as Palmer Heenan of Central Virginia Legal Aid Society.
