Are you are a race director? Do you have race planning survival tactics? I’ve been curious about race directors' survival strategies. How do they manage their crew, stay healthy, and focused, during race peak season?
Race Directing is a rewarding and labor-intensive field of work. I am privileged to have first-hand experience at race directing. I quickly lean on my athletic training discipline to help me produce and sustain The ACC Fairway 5K Cross Country Run in Austin, TX. I soon developed my emotional and physical race directors' survival kit. It has helped me to survive freezing temperatures, winter storms, and lighting threats. Having a race director's self-care strategy will save you unnecessary stress, financial mishaps, and help you lead with joy.

Implement the Race Director’s Mantra.
Race directing is fun and rewarding. It’s a leadership role that brings joy and satisfaction at the end of each race. I consider race directing a privilege. We give back to our community by staying focused, healthy, and productive. In return, everyone benefits from the cosmic race day energy. It’s palpable. Stand in front of your start line facing your athlete’s; you will feel their energy shine over you. There’s excitement, and anxiety all rolled up into one giant bubble.
I’ve masted how to tend to this Pre-Race-Vibe by implementing the Race Director’s Mantra. It’s proven to be effective. I Shine love on my athlete’s and crew at the race start and finish line. It’s become my personal and intimate tradition. As a race director, we are responsible for protecting everyone in attendance. We do our best to keep everyone safe. The Race Director’s Mantra is a subconscious protector. It will shine a bright light of protection and generate a tranquil wave effect over the race route. You’ll also enjoy feeling light as a feather,
