Fear is a thought.
You are not your thoughts.
Now let's practice how to release your fear by implementing the Fearless Athlete Mantra.
Sit comfortably with your eyes closed.
Place your hands on your lap, face up.
Set your timer for 10 minutes.
Take three deep Mental Agility Grounding breaths:
Inhale Love, Exhale Love.
Inhale Love, Exhale Love.
Inhale Love, Exhale Love.
Silently begin repeating the Fearless Athlete Mantra: I am Strong, Safe, and Protected.
Silently repeat your mantra when you experience any distractions or thoughts. Use the Fearless Athlete Mantra as a remote control to pause unsettling thoughts. I recommend you practice the Fearless Athlete Mantra for the next ten consecutive days. Notice how you feel. Once you have mastered The Fearless Athlete Mantra, you will easily be able to access this mantra when fear begins to bubble up. You will release that fear thought instantly and be able to continue with your athletic goal; fear will not deter you.
