Colin Braun has raced multiple classes of cars over his career and, for the most part, has been successful in everything he’s driven. We caught up with Colin at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach Media Day where he was giving pace car rides and also evaluating an new Acura track day road car (we’ll have a walkaround podcast on this one in the future). He started off the year with a second place podium finish at the Rolex 24 Hour race at Daytona in his Meyer Shank Racing Acura GTP car and followed that up with three top ten finishes in the next four races. In this interview, he fills us in on what it was like to race the MSR Indy car, how that compares to his GTP car, and the intensity of racing at Long Beach. He also tells us how challenging it is to share the track with different classes of cars and gives us his thoughts on how he manages that challenge. He’s a humble guy but an incredible racer. Enjoy!
