August 5, 2023 - 37 year old Rachel Morin is reported missing. Less than 24 hours later her body is found near a local hiking trail, the Ma & Pa Trail in Bel Air, Maryland.  The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance in identifying the suspect in relation to the homicide of Rachel Hannah Morin.  The unknown male is approximately 5′ 09″, 160 pounds, 20-30 years of age, dark hair, muscular build, and is believed to be of Hispanic descent.  A photo of the suspect was captured six months ago.  We will post this photo on our social accounts.  This individual is believed to have ties to the Los Angeles area and may have been involved in violent crimes in other states. Anyone who can identify this unknown male, or has additional information, is asked to contact the Harford County Sheriff’s Office at 1-410-836-7788 or RMtips@harfordsheriff.org

In July of 2021- 40 year old Katie Janness was walking her dog in a city park in Atlanta, Georgia when the two were attacked.  Piedmont Park was just a short walk from Katie’s home.  The two had walked together in the park many times.  But on this night both were attacked and stabbed by an unknown assailant.  Just before 1AM Katie’s partner Emma discovered Katie in the park and called 911.  Please help get justice for Katie Janness. This case and True Crime story continues to be one of the more debated cases of the 20th century, even after more than 30 years has passed.  Why can’t we as a collective community move on from this case?  Is it because the case manages to creep its way back into the headlines, over and over again?  Or, is it because at the end of the day we are all afraid that we may never know the truth about what happened in Robin Hood Hills, on May 5th, 1993? After taking a listen once again to our West Memphis 3 case coverage from 2016 we have decided to revisit the case and get some additional thoughts from a perspective not yet heard on TCG.  Today we welcomed in Dan Stidham, the Defense Attorney for Jesse Misskelley Jr.  Mr. Stidham represented Jesse for many years and at some points was assisting Jason Baldwin as well.  He has since gone on to become a highly respected Judge in Arkansas.  While he is not a fan of the Alford plea, he remains one of the key figures in this case that helped the West Memphis 3 to finally get released from prison after serving 18 years.
