The topic of race has escalated in the last few years and seems to have permeated every aspect of our society. Race and racial reconciliation is a topic some like to discuss and a topic some would like to ignore—but we in the church cannot ignore it.
We need to ask how should we as the church be talking about racism and racial reconciliation? I’ve brought in Monique Duson, co-founder of the Biblical Center for Unity, who has spent the last few years addressing the dangers of CRT and helping Christians discuss these issues with a biblical worldview. She’s joining me to help us to know what conversations we should be having, what red flags to watch for in the church, and what’s at the heart of this issue.
Through The Elephant in the Room series, we’ve been looking at topics many churches are missing. While many churches are having the conversation about race and racial reconciliation, they are looking to the world for answers and not to Scripture. I hope this conversation with Monique encourages you to not be afraid to have difficult conversations and to look to the Bible as the source for truth.
