This is my debut — a bit clumsy, with no special effects or makeup.
I’ve been watching you all for a while and started missing my student days,
when we used to have similar sing-alongs over Skype.
Now the opportunity has finally come,
so I’m sending you this simple melody.
A few words on why this particular song.
These days, we’ve had time at home to play some blues,
so I thought of an old song from a songbook I had for years.
It took quite a while to dig up that old green notebook
that used to travel with me on camping trips and canoeing adventures.
Unfortunately, I don’t know who originally wrote the music or the lyrics.
I believe it came from around the "Nocna Zmiana Bluesa" circle —
I remember hearing it on TV,
I memorized the melody and wrote the lyrics down from a VHS tape.
I recall a young woman singing it, with a clear and calm voice.
I’ve searched online and even asked artificial intelligence to help me figure out who it might have been.
I found nothing! Just dead ends.
That’s what finally convinced me —
despite my amateur skills and basic equipment —
to share this song with the world.
