The 2,000 Guineas was a family affair as Poetic Flare, owned by Jim Bolger’s wife and ridden by his 54-year-old son-in-law Kevin Manning, landed the first Classic of the year. US racing expert Tom Collins steps in to review the Kentucky Derby and assess Medina Spirit’s chances of landing the Triple Crown.
