Rishi Persad and Steve Ryder are back for the road to the Cheltenham Festival as Racing Weekly continues its countdown to March.
In today's packed show we welcome friend of the show, Steve Mellish, to the studio who talks up Sir Gino as his horse to watch this season. We then review the Dublin Racing Festival where Willie Mullins picked up the nine winners.
Il Etait Temps capitalised on a below par performance from Marine Nationale to win the Irish Arkle by a neck from Found A Fifty and is now 4/1 NRNB with bet365 for the Arkle at the Cheltenham Festival 2024. Galopin Des Champs beat Fastorslow by 4 ½ lengths and is now 8/13 NRNB to retain the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Fastorslow is now 9/2 NRNB for the same race.
First up we pay tribute to Keagan Kirkby with our thoughts and prayer going out to his friends, family and connections.
Later we preview the Denman Chase with five entries of Shiskin, Protektorat, Hitman, Sam Brown and Does He Know plus a look towards the Game Spirit Chase where there are six entries of Edwardstone, Editeur du Gite, Boothill, Calico, Amarillo Sky and Funambule Sivola.
Racing Weekly is brought to you by oddschecker, in association with bet365.
